Credentialling Requirements and Electronic Documents

CAPR has been receiving a lot of questions from credentialling applicants about whether we accept electronic documents.

CAPR’s Credentialling Program accepts documentation electronically for the following:

CAPR also contacts institutions through official and verifiable email addresses regarding any clarification that may be required for a file. Our Client Services team sends document checklists to applicants by email, and during COVID-19, Credentialling Officers have been sending assessment letters by email.

CAPR does not accept documentation electronically for the following:

  • School documentation, such as the degree, transcripts, Form D
  • Supporting documentation regarding supervised clinical practice hours

As part of the Credentialling Program’s external independent program review, CAPR is currently reviewing ways that some of these documents might be accepted electronically in the future.

We encourage applicants to continue to check CAPR’s website, as well as our Facebook and LinkedIn pages, for further information and updates regarding electronic documents.
