Welcome Kathy Davidson, National Director of Evaluation Services

CAPR Leadership is very pleased to welcome Kathy Davidson to our team starting October 12th as the National Director of Evaluation Services. Kathy comes to the CAPR after a successful decade leading Physiotherapy Education Accreditation Canada as their Executive Director.

Kathy completed her training as a Physiotherapist at the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Rehabilitation Science at the University of British Columbia.  After working 20 years in clinical practice – focusing on pediatric physiotherapy, most recently at the Child and Youth Development Centre in Penticton BC – Kathy transitioned to consulting work and leadership.  She is best known for her excellence in leading change, her research skills, her strategic leadership and her excellence in collaboration and partnerships.  Kathy has extensive knowledge and experience in standards development and revision, competency assessment, regulation and policy work.  She has received the Medal of Distinction from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, the Founders Award from the Association of Accrediting Agencies of Canada and the Award of Excellence/Professional Contribution from the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia.

Committed to excellence and innovation in diversity/equity and inclusion, Kathy has recently taken a leadership role with the development of new standards for entry-to-practice physiotherapy program accreditation that focus on social justice and anti-oppressive practices, work that we hope to continue at the CAPR.  Most importantly, Kathy is known for her quick smile, quick wit, and engaging manner.

We are very pleased to be welcoming Kathy to our team.
