CAPR successfully delivers second Written Component exam during pandemic

CAPR delivered a Written Component exam on Saturday, September 26—our second administration under pandemic conditions. The exam was again offered in dual modalities, with 330 candidates completing the exam through remote proctoring or in a Prometric testing centre.

We are pleased to report that 98 percent of candidates completed the exam with minimal or no technical or other difficulties. CAPR staff is working directly with candidates whose exams were disrupted by technical or other issues. We are committed to ensuring that each of these candidates can complete the exam as soon as possible and, wherever possible, in the modality of their choice.

Since CAPR resumed administration of the Written Component exam in August, 627 candidates have attempted this qualifying exam, the passing of which makes them eligible to deliver physiotherapy care on a provisional licence. CAPR is on pace to accommodate all candidates whose exams were impacted by the postponement of the May and July administrations before the end of the year. We anticipate being entirely back on track to meet demand for the Written Component exam by November 2020.

To all September 26 candidates—congratulations on reaching this important milestone in your career and completing your Written Component exam during a pandemic. And to our CAPR staff—thank you for your hard work to administer another successful exam under pandemic conditions.
