Big News: Exam Eligibility Policies have been Changed!

CAPR has simplified its policies regarding eligibility to take the Physiotherapy Competency Exam.  Effective immediately, the time limits to complete all attempts at the PCE have been abolished.  The ‘Section A’ five-year time limit and the ‘Section B’ December 31, 2018 deadline no longer exist. This change gives candidates greater control over when they feel ready to attempt the PCE.

What has not Changed
It is important to note that there have been no changes to the number of attempts a candidate has to take the PCE.

Additionally, credential assessment policies have not changed.  Internationally-educated physiotherapists must make their first attempt at the written component of the PCE within 2 years of having become eligible, as outlined on their credential assessment letter.  After their first attempt, there is no time limit within which to complete any subsequent attempts at the PCE.

Please make sure you understand these important policies.  Read the updated Eligibility to Take the Physiotherapy Competency Exam Policy and, if you are an IEPT, the Expiration of Credentialling Results Policy.
