Employment Letters
At times during the Educational Credential and Qualification Assessment process, The Alliance will require applicants to provide employment and/or reference letters for proof of supervised clinical practice in certain specialty areas.
Employment letters should be submitted in the form of a letter (in English or French) explaining the areas of practice, the hours worked in each area and if it was paid employment.
Candidates will be notified in writing if reference or employment letters are required in assessing your file. These documents should only be submitted if required as it is unnecessary to spend time, effort and money to submit such documentation.
Employment letters should be mailed to The Alliance office at:
Attention: Credentialling Officer Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators 1243 Islington Avenue, Suite 501 Toronto, ON M8X 1Y9 Canada
While mailed original letters are preferred, faxed letters will also be accepted if they come directly from the employer.
Limits of Liability
It is the candidate's responsibility to advise his or her employer and other interested parties about the limits of liability detailed in clause 8 of the Waiver/Consent form.
By taking part in the Educational Credential and Qualification Assessment, each candidate signs a waiver/consent form agreeing that The Alliance is not responsible for damages in the event of errors or omissions and is not responsible for impacts such as loss of income, loss of salary and/or expenses incurred by an employer, contractor or the candidate.
He or she will take no action or other proceeding against The Alliance or any of its officers, employees or agents for an act done in good faith or for any neglect or default related to the Educational Credential and Qualification Assessment.
The current version of Educational Credential Assessment Package is the official version of Credentialling Policies and Procedures.
