In Canada, physiotherapists are licensed/registered by provincial/territorial regulatory colleges. Most regulatory colleges have their credentialling, language fluency testing, and competency examination activities performed by The Alliance.
The Alliance does not make decisions about who can and cannot be licensed/registered to practice physiotherapy in provinces/territories. The Alliance only provides information on credentials and qualifications results to provincial/territorial physiotherapy regulators. It is up to the regulators to make decisions about who is and who is not eligible to practice.
It's a Three Step Process!
