About PDF
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colours, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with a free Adobe Acrobat(R) Reader.
Depending on how your browser is set up you'll receive the document in one of two ways:
- a screen will open containing the Acrobat toolbar and the document or, you'll be asked to "Open" the document (it will appear as above) or
- "Save it to disk" so you can open it with your Adobe Acrobat software later.
If you do not already have a current version of the reader installed, click here to download the reader's installer. As usual, make sure you remember where on your computer you saved the installer so you can go to it to install the software.
